I listened to the broadcast and found it very interesting.

Basically, this guy allows one to "zoom out" and see the bigger picture. He also underlines that this is a long term thing.

I take it from your comments that your investing style is to buy quality and hold long term. Lately, I have been trying the approach of some market timers to make money on the ups and downs, but I increasingly feel it is not worth the worry. As you have indicated, there is often an overtone of "worry" in my posts.

Mr. Coxe's approach seems to be to understand the very long-term trend and to let brief ups and downs come and go, holding on until the cycle reaches its top, way down the road.

However, what I find difficult is to see missed opportunities go by. For example, if the market does crash here, and Tyhee with it, wouldn't you rather be on the sidelines in order to buy more at a cheaper price, and how will your blood pressure be during the period Tyhee remains down in spite of the fact that long term reasoning such as Mr. Coxe's says it will go up?

I would appreciate any thoughts you might have...
