I am from Brooklyn and have lived in Argentina for 3 years.
The only complaints I hear about having to do with inflation is the rising cost of tomatoes.
On the other hand, so many Argentines speak very fondly of the good old days before hyperinflation when they had lots more value in their pesos. Then, one peso equaled one dollar. Now it's 3 pesos for one U$S . In 2001 it was 4 pesos to one dollar.
