Your explanation sounds pretty good to me.

All I can say is the pattern is not arbitrary; yesterday, for example, the asks at .46 would almost get eaten through and then 'presto' a whole boatload of new asks would appear at .46.

I do feel like someone or (several 'someones') are in some kind of staging phase; let's just hope it's staging for blastoff and not for 'take the money and run!'

I just cannot get over gold today; it just hit 944; where does that put us per oz in the ground??!!!
