You can't daytrade with low volume stocks and particular with junior miners but there are times when I believe it's better to be more heavily weighted than other times. Right now with drilling underway on Big Sky, PDAC about to come up, warrents about to expire and the stock trading so cheap, I think it's a good time to be heavily weighted.
TDC is a bad stock to daytrade in particular because they drill year round. You never know when they'll hit a discovery hole as Aurellian did and as a previous poster pointed out, it skyrocketed in the middle of a massive gold selloff.
But I do believe in playing market swings in other ways or hedging with ETFs. I would never, ever, ever short a junior miner. Can you imagine being short on Aurellian? Maybe this explains why there are NO shorts on TDC right now.
