Mr. Gold (The Legend) VS Jaime (Scarface) Shorty
Fighting out of New York in the red trunks we have Jaime (Scarface) Shorty. Coming in at 220 lbs he has tremendous punching power and good stamina. However he has a weak ground game and if the fight goes over two rounds without a knockout he is in trouble. Shorty has trained with Randy Couture and is an expert at dirty boxing.
Fighting out of Toronto in the gold trunks we have Mr. Gold (The Legend). Coming in at 218 lbs he is a tremendous counter puncher with an awesome ground game and excellent stamina.
Mr. Gold has trained with Bert and is an outstanding counter puncher and has excellent ring strategy.
The first two rounds were a battle royal. Shorty came out punching and was looking for a first round knock out! His use of "Dirty Boxing" made Randy Couture blush. He threw everything but the kitchen sink at Mr. Gold. But The Legend stood his ground and his counterpunching made up for lack of power in the first round. I give the first round to Shorty 29-28.
In the second round Mr. Gold started to pick up speed. Shorty had just about punched himself out with his use of rights, lefts and dirty boxing during the first round. Mr. Gold staked out the center of the ring and began to pick Shorty apart with an excellent display of counterpunching. Up to this point the fight had not yet gone to the ground. I give the second round to Mr. Gold 29-28.
The third and final round is about to begin. Shorty is slumping in his corner. He’s bloodied and bleeding from the nose and a large open gash in his forehead. He is winded. His corner is concerned and is telling him that he needs a knockout or the fight goes to Mr. Gold. The Legend looks fresh and confident. He is casually sipping water. I can hear his corner telling him to take this fight to the ground!
Now here is how the Vegas Line calls the third round. Shorty comes out of his corner. He is tired. He has punched himself out.
(On 5/5 with gold in a complete tailspin TRE stood right on the 200 DMA and Shorty DID NOTHING!!!!)
Mr. Gold comes out looking fresh! He is going to take this fight to the ground.
(4 properties coming into production, millions of ounces in the ground, growing resource base, low float, no debt).
Once he takes Shorty down Mr. Gold will go to his favorite technique. A brutal ground and pound of Shorty (just for fun) followed up by a vicious rear naked choke!
Shorty tries to tap but Mr. Gold holds on like BJ PENN did to JENS PULVER and things go dark for Shorty.
THIRD ROUND VICTORY FOR Mr. Gold! Shorty is carried out on a stretcher and Mr. Gold (The Legend) now holds the UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT GOLD STOCK BELT OF THE WORLD!!
Vegas line odds: MR. GOLD TO WIN IN THE THIRD ROUND (MINUS 280) BY TKO!
