Maybe I am too naive but why wouldn't a bank finance a company that would actually pay the money back with interest?

The banks and finance companies are in trouble for nebulous dealings with nebulous intruments like derivatives, not for dealing with real companies with real assets. This is what pisses me off. I want to see the banks go under. They don't deserve to be bailed out, yet we may need them. The bank executives will still probably get their payouts and keep their jobs and meanwhile we suffer.
