Synodon Completes Public realSensTM Demonstration

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 16, 2009) - Synodon Inc. ("Synodon") (TSX VENTURE:SYD), is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a demonstration and flight test of its realSens(TM) technology. This technology has the ability to detect small quantities of gases leaking from natural gas pipelines and other sources while flying mounted from a helicopter. The most recent demonstration took place on January 13, 2009 in Tucson, Arizona and was attended by pipeline industry representatives with interests in Russia, Israel, Mexico, USA and Canada. During the tests, realSens(TM) successfully detected ethane concentrations typically present in natural gas transmission pipeline leaks. The results were presented within 24 hours of the flight.

Synodon Inc. (www.synodon.com) is an Edmonton based technology company which has developed and demonstrated a patent pending airborne remote gas sensing system called realSens(TM), based on technologies developed under the Canadian Space Program and by Synodon scientists.
