Strike Minerals Inc. (STK-V) Announces Plans To Extend Nicholson Main Zone on Surface

Strike Minerals Inc. (“Strike”) intends to continue work on the Nicholson Property,
north-east of Wawa, Ontario, after positive results of the recently completed Geological
survey (see press release dated Sept. 10, 2009). Significant high grade gold values have been found in a number of locations both along the surface exposure (e.g. 14.77 gpt Au over 1.5 meters for 57.3 meters. refer to Nov. 20, 2008 press release) and at depth in our 30 hole drill program (e.g. 298.43 gpt Au over 0.46 meters in hole N-26-09. refer to June 9, 2009 press release.)
The recently completed mapping and sampling program on the property, which included
trenching of areas on strike with the Main Zone, revealed that the Zone continues at least 60 meters to the south-east of the historically stripped area, and at least 25 meters to the north-west. Strike intends to continue trenching of the Main Zone along strike from the historically stripped area to the recent trenches. Any bedrock revealed will be washed, mapped and channel sampled in the hopes of extending the Main Zone on surface. The Nicholson Property lies in the eastern portion of the Wawa (Michipicoten) Greenstone Belt and is underlain predominantly by intermediate to felsic lapilli and crystal tuffs. North-west trending shears have been identified, accompanied by felsic intrusive dikes, and in some instances, auriferous quartz veining.
The current program is a continuation of our successful delineation of the Nicholson
property that has included;
• Channel sampling
• 30 hole drill program
