My Sis lives close to a closed mine in Arizona and the one in question. And let me tell you it is an eye sore. These companies leave a huge pile up of the land and it sure doesn't look natural. There is some nice housing in the area as mentioned in the article. And beautiful mountain and sunsets, they don't want to look at more unsitely hills. Can't blame them for fighting, besides the water issues. For only a total of 200 jobs. I see both sides, but use what God has given us, without destroying nature.
