I dont think peter is shorting yet but he is saying that if the 10yr gets below 2% it is very likely that he will. so i would wait on pulling the trigger just yet as we saw TBT seams like a good bet long term but in the last month has been beaten up really bad. Marc Faber also thinks shorting treasuries is a good bet, I myself will wait to see if TBT goes lower as in panics it does. I cant understand why people fight over negative real yield for 10 yrs but as long as it is viewed as a safe haven I will be cautious in shorting this one unless we get a paradigm shift in thinking.

Same thinking applies for any canadian ETF you may choose.
