It is quite common for these portfolio type stocks to trade at a discount to net asset value. CMP Gold Trust is one I own and it is tradinhg at a 35% discount to NAV. They hold a bundle of early stage precious metal explorers and just distributed $1.00 per share from 2010 capital gains and are embarking on ashare buy-back which should help narrow the discount.
