Hello, gentlemen,
I presume sailortony is not an Icelander since his information are so terribly incorrect. According to his assumptions I would guess he'd never been to Iceland and he doesn't have a clue about Eva Joly, her background and her work in Iceland.
To cut a long story short I am an Icelander who has been writing about geothermal energy and everything it includes and entails for several years. My knowledge of Magma Energy and Ross Beaty's plans in Iceland are quite extensive and I have a huge dossier on the case.
I suggest you read the comments to a pathetic interview with Ross Beaty in The Globe & Mail a few days ago
The interview is here: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/managing/at-the-top/ross-beaty-acting-to-overcome-hurdles/article1761322/
Comments here: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/managing/at-the-top/ross-beaty-acting-to-overcome-hurdles/article1761322/comments/
Read each and every comment, please.
I can assure you and other potential investors that Magma Energy and Ross Beaty will never be welcomed in Iceland and neither will other business-vultures who want to invest in the Icelandic people's natural resources and the foundations of our society.
People who want to enrich themselves and build their wealth on other people's or nations' misfortune are despicable.
Mr. Beaty has built his entrance into the geothermal business in Iceland on tricks and deception and Eva Joly was absolutely correct when she said that the wheelings and dealings of Magma Energy - in fact the whole privatizing of HS Orka - should be criminally investigated.
A recent poll showed that 80% of the Icelandic people are vehemently opposed to the privatization of our energy resources and this number will do nothing but increase.
I suggest people who want to comment on what's going on here in Iceland gather better information about the situation before they speak out.
Thank you.
