One more aspect on interlisted stocks - usually, the arbitrage guys will keep the prices equivalent, so movement in currencies won't have any significant effect. I just look at 2 things - liquidity and cost. My broker charges twice as much to trade on the Canadian exchanges, so if the liquidity is similar, I use the US exhanges.
