Dear Shareholder,
As reported in our press release of October 30, 2008, significant enhancements to the hydrolysis circuit of the hydrometallurgical process were achieved in the NeoFerric laboratory during 2008. The next course of action is having an independent source review the laboratory test work. In January 2009, Hatch Engineering began this review (due diligence), and it is currently ongoing.
The hydrometallurgical process is proprietary, but not patentable - meaning, there are no royalties derived from its use. However, the advantage of using this process on Starfield’s sulphide mineralization is enormous because of its potential cost savings, energy efficiency, and its low environmental impact. Starfield takes pride in the fact that we are leading the industry with this innovative, environmentally friendly process.”
