Company has a Growing Worldwide Portfolio of Patents in Mobile, Location-Based Search and Advertising Technologies
TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - Sprylogics International Corp. ("Sprylogics" or the "Company") (TSXV: SPY), a technology provider of local mobile search and messaging solutions for consumers and businesses is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Poynt Inc. has been granted a new patent for a "method of using location information for advertising system based on 3-dimensional shapes." This patent and others already granted or pending add to the portfolio of intellectual property owned by the Company.
Singapore patent 176399 was issued on October 11, 2013 to Poynt Inc., describing a Method of Using Location Information for Advertising System Based on 3-Dimensional Shapes. The patent is directed as follows:
A method of delivering an advertisement to an electronic communications device via an electronic communications network includes obtaining, via the electronic communications network, a speed or direction of travel of an electronic communications device and a location of the electronic communications device, the location of the device corresponding to a longitude, a latitude, and an altitude of the communications device, accessing a database of advertisements, each advertisement in the database having an associated speed or direction of travel and a three-dimensional geographical region, identifying at least one advertisement in the database such that the location and speed or direction of travel of the electronic communications device is within the associated three-dimensional geographic region and speed or direction of travel of the advertisement, and delivering the advertisement to the electronic communications device via the electronic communications network. |
With respect to the Poynt Inc. acquisition by Sprylogics announced August 1, 2013, here are the additional issued patents now owned by the Company and its subsidiaries:
