While everyone is sitting on the edge of their seats, awaiting some sort of news, we should realize that this halt could very well go thru to Monday Morning. I honestly think that might be a good thing to hope for. News releases late on a Friday have a notorious reputation for being bad news, and I have always been leery of them.

With this in mind, perhaps it is a good time to suggest something to take our minds off the moment and look forward to where the ROF is going to be tomorrow (years), and try to predict the outcome

If we do not get a suitable offer from CLF, we will no doubt proceed with the amalgamation, and things will pretty much revert to where we were a couple of months ago, with a few very polarized companies fighting for the prize at the end of the rainbow (a big hit). Somehow I just don't see that happening, so let's assume that CLF will eventually win us over, and assume complete control of the chrome assets in the ROF.

There will then be only 2 real players in the area, which will be CLF and NOT, both with a reasonable resource to take to production once the infrastructure is in place. The only sensible route going forward is that they join forces in some fashion to facilitate the infrastructure question. At this time NOT does not have the financial might to bring this to it's end game, but they do have the right people, they have the first nations on their side (hopefully), and they have the product to create early income to facilitate financing.

CLF on the other hand does have the ability to obtain financing for such a huge undertaking, they may have the right people, but have no relationship with either the FN nor the provincial government.

For these two to join forces at this time would be a win win situation. I could easily visualize a 45/55 ratio where NOT would control the operation and CLF would finance it.

If the above was to come to pass, and I believe it will in some form or fashion, then the only thorn left would be FNC with it's small holding right in the centre of it all. There is just no way the other things could come to pass without them first taking FNC out of the picture.

The above scenario may be only a figment at this point, but I think back to the FWR buyout. I sold out too early there, and left a good bit of cash on the table when I did, but it did afford me the ability to buy in here very heavily, and I am thankful for that now. And the idea of SPQ being on the block was only a figment at that time also.

At the moment I am hoping that FNC doesn't hit anything on their first hole or two, or if they do, that they can keep a lid on it until at least the 8th of July.

Best regards

K
