Sorry for the belated reply, Cyl, but I have been out all day.
I don't actually understand your reply to my post, so will elaborate a bit.
As it stands, there is a fairly large movement of shares from sellers to buyers. Who are the sellers and who are the buyers? There is speculation that it is CLF using scare tactics to induce shareholders to sell and they are buying them up on the sly. That is illegal, and as you have stated in the past, very unlikely.
There are a huge number of shareholders who have bought ay firesale prices in the last year. A PP last summer at .03 and another big one for .05 at year end. These holders may be looking at things and thinking they can take a 4-5 bagger now (counting their shares plus the warrants, and considering the flo thru) as this may take a few months to work it's way out and there are other plays they want to get into.
On the buy side.there are a lot of arbitrage players out there who look at this and think there is still at least a double to be had over a couple of months and are buying up big time.
As it stands, there are two possibilities going forward from this point, and even then they are only possibilities, as CLF has still not clarified how they are going to deal with KWG. SPQ has set the separation date for June11. If they have no meaningful progress made by then they will enact the SRP, wherein everyone except CLF will be issued a free share for every one they presently own, so this becomes a very important date.CLF must find some loophole to stop KWG's plans to do the same, or present them with some offer that the BOD accepts, and is willing to take to the shareholders. But I digress.
There are two possibilities , going forward.
We are proceeding with an amalgamation to be voted on by SPQ holders at a date still to be determined, which can only be prevented by an acceptable offer being presented to the BOD on or before June 11. OR
CLF adjusts their offer to the extent that the committee decide to extend the June 11 deadline and we eventually get a decent offer from them.
Everyone should understand that all any of the players are doing is posturing. I am sure they are sitting down at a table somewhere hashing thjs thing out, and at the end of the day they will all appear in front of the cameras, shaking each others hands with a big smile on each of their faces and thinking they really screwed the other parties. That is the message Neil had for us today. Just relax, don't do anything. Let us do our bit and when we are ready, we will tell all.
Best regards
K
