First Explorer at the "Ring of Fire" and presently drilling on the "BIG DADDY" Chromite/Pge's jv'd property...yet we were robbed
Aafab:
I don't think all is lost.
But I'm not going to pump the stock in order to get my SPQ shares anywhere close to 'green'. Reality is what it is, reality. We're in this position because of poor timing, a weak BOD, a CEO's decision making, investor sentiment, and some bad luck.
It's crazy to dream about pulling 'a rabbit out of the hat' when you can't even find the hat. This stock has a gazillion outstanding shares. But everyone still dreams of their 4 cent stock going to $5. Nobody wants to reduce those number of shares, so you shape your own dream.
What's going to get it there? Neil Novak is going to do what he has been trained to do. He's a geo. And he doesn't want to sell out to Cliffs; but at the same time he's tied to them whether he likes it or not. Spider is the 'operator' on the Freewest JV, and Mac Watson thinks Neil can 'hit it big'. Meanwhile, KWG (with Cliffs) wants to push a railroad up from Nakina.
Neil Novak is not a bad guy. But he's (IMHO) surrounded by some lightweights. His CFO has been hit with allegations that can't be proven. (I've even bad-mouthed him. I was stupid.) But when I went looking for substance to back those allegations heard from others - nothing. Those same people still think he overtly did some bad stuff. Bollocks. The guy's just a lightweight. For poor Neil, you surround yourself with lightweights... well you know the rest. (Some people think I'm a lightweight... so be it.)
Sorry, but shareholders get what 'they pay for' when they sit back and do nothing. THIS A GENERAL STATEMENT not aimed at anyone. If the shareholder just rants, doesn't phone Neil or the BOD, doesn't do any real due diligence, and simply watches the stock ticker... sorry, you gets what you gets. Moreover, I don't have a crystal ball, I'm not a financial advisor, and I'm certainly not a geo. But I do own shares, and I want them to go 'up'. So I try to the best of my ability to do some basic due diligence.
From what I have found out, Spider Resources has a decent chance at good share price appreciation in late 2009 or early 2010(IMHO). It and its joint venture partners will be drilling a very good prospect at Big Daddy. That's a given. Moreover, KWG let it out of the bag that their partner Cliffs is SERIOUSLY looking at a rail line to Nakina. (This can no longer be proven by me because a KWG post on FACEBOOK has been withdrawn - too much information and probably not approved by Frank Smeenk. A fellow by the name of Rod Smith on Facebook can confirm this. He also saw it last night.)
Aafab, I certainly don't mind the 'tongue in cheek' stuff. I know you, I've talked with you. You're as frustrated as the rest of us. But intelligent conversation, good due diligence, some working with Neil and the BOD, a certain amount of modesty (a challenge for me), and lots of patience will help us all in reaching our goals.
