Some capital sources simply will not buy shares of companies in the single digits. Some won't go below .25. You broaden your investor base with a more realistic float for the market cap.

Most reverse splits do not work, it is like putting lipstick on a pig. The market cap is the same and I do not see how anyone can think that it is a better investment.
