Gold futures ended higher yesterday after a brief move above $900 (U.S.) an ounce in thin holiday trade. U.S. gold futures for June delivery settled up $12.50, or 1.4 per cent, at $895.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
