Maybe in this weak economic period, the governments will start to look at the mining infrastructure needs as a make work project to provide employment for Ontarians. With a little more labour availability, this could prove to be beneficial to all concerned. Since Harper is already back-peddling on his election promise of no deficit, maybe he will be willing to spend money on employment efforts.
Why do Canadians insist on suffering through a Conservative party every generation? "Cut the GST!" Why do we think the Liberals didn't do this (although promised)? Because it was keeping the budget in the black. All the work of the Liberals undone in two years. Bravo, Harper.
