Not too sure about that. You can spot a similar trend in many shares, have a look at LEH after it dipped below 50 for the first time last year. LEH's been heavily accumulated as well whilst the MA's were clearly going downhill. I think it's often a sign that investors are in denial and add more shares to make themselves feel better. Sometimes it works, but most of the times it just accumulates one's losses.
What's more comforting to me is how oscillators are moving. Also have a look at Williams %R. You'll find that SPQ looks far more bullish than TWD (which funnily enough I also own).
Actually, out of all the mining stocks that I own, SPQ looks far more bullish on a tech analysis basis than most of its peers. AGQ.V is the other one that may do very well in the short term.
