There are a lot of people with experience in R/S with other companies but under different circumstances. This may well be a different environment where those unfortunate experiences don't apply here. The typical reasons for an R/S don't seem to relate to SPQ therefore I wonder at managements real motivation for introducing this action. They have money, not a lot, but likely more than most companies looking for an R/S. They have immediate potential for success so why not wait and see what they've actually got? One could conclude that they are not very positive on what they have found to date and therefore anticipate the need for a way to get more money to move onto other potential (would you believe that?), or they are looking for a way to shore up confidence in the stock and move the sp into the big league concurrent with the requisite proof of value through positive reports. How is it that FNC has experienced such an sp boast with out so much as a single drill on the property when SPQ has proven mineralization and good properties? Well, speculation and a short supply of shares available is one answer. Changing the psychology on SPQ is obviously important as there is a definite mindset as to where this stock should sit and it is difficult to change this, granted, under the present circumstances. Throw the sp up through the R/S and then hit the market with a great find and what do you think might happen? Other companies that did the R/S and had nothing to follow it up with wound up with same unaltered mindset as they had before with nothing to support the psychology of a higher value/sp. I tentatively would support this move but only if there is something coming out of the hat to dazzle the crowd. Unfortunately, we have to vote without this information. I still think it possible for SPQ to reward SH's under the present share situation. It really depends on what comes out of the hat..... and yes a 10:1 split would take quite the hike in sp to make the profit some think they would have achieved with their present shares. The question remains, under the present situation, what will the market be prepared to allow SPQ as an SP, if indeed there is a strong mindset against the large OS base. You can say it doesn't matter, but as I've said before, it's a psych. thing, it makes a lot of people nervous. As usual, one has to make the best decision with less than the best information.... unless something is revealed soon, though a number of posters believe in a blackout until after the AGM.
