You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
I've seen this pattern in many plays too. You might have to accept an increase in profits though if SPQ hits NOT-like holes. With NOTs DE2 it would seem not an unlikely scenario.
