I think that Kelsee's submission actually lend more credence to your position, but you are ever the diplomat.  I think that ultimately SPQ will prevail because there is simply too much profit to be made in developing it's holdings.  Character and lack of character are both drawn to profit.  It is always desirable to have the best leadership though.  Time will deliver the test.
