As a commodity based economy in Canada, worldwide reaction to the assasination of BB sent everything up and took gold/dollar with it. On top of that, a lot of oversold stocks look very attractive and fueled things. It does not take much to get a reaction when one of the McFaulds players runs, and with the volumes today there was more to it than recovery from oversolds and commodity prices. Particularly given the highs were at the end of the day rather than all over the map. Let's see what tomorrow AM brings.
