MONTREAL (Business Wire) -- Sonomax Technologies Inc. (SHH: TSX Venture) is pleased to announce the nomination of Richard Yanofsky and Philippe Gervais to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Richard Yanofsky has been a driving force behind the successful WowWee Canada Inc. He holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Relations and Economics and a Post Graduate degree in Business Management Studies from McGill University. Mr. Yanofsky's wide range of skills and experience in the consumer retail market will provide important guidance to Sonomax in building distribution and our global retail brand. Mr. Yanofsky also manages the career of one of Canada's top young singing sensations, Nikki Yanofsky.

Mr. Gervais is a Senior Consultant at The Capital Hill Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Montreal and a Diploma in Management from McGill University. He is Chairman of the Board of H2O Innovation Inc., Vice Chairman of the board of MUTEK as well as a board member of MITACS.

With over 10 years' experience in federal and provincial government relations, having held several positions working for the Minister of National Revenue as Special Assistant, the Federal Minister of Public Works and Government Services as Executive Assistant and then as Political Attaché to the Deputy Premier and President of Treasury Board of Quebec, Mr. Gervais brings excellent credentials and valuable insight in the critical area of Government relations and military initiatives worldwide.
