Creator of award winning eers custom-fitted earphones
Great piece of news Sculpin. Excellent move by Nick.
"We are extremely excited to extend the availability of sculpted eers™ custom-molded earphones to New York in B&H stores," said Nick Laperle, Sonomax's CEO. "With the upcoming holidays, this retail partnership will be paramount to increasing sales and we anticipate a fantastic holiday season for the brand."

This one is couple weeks old, but I came across today.

Some people never bother with those iconic white Apple earbuds. They just don’t fit very well. Want to listen to music while jogging? Well, expect to be reinserting them in your ears every couple of blocks.
Sonomax’s sculpted eers solves that problem by custom molding its headphones to ears of all shapes and sizes. The technology won the company an award Tuesday from CES for best of innovations in the headphones category.
The custom fitting is a process that can easily be done at home for four minutes. That’s about the time it takes for the silicone to form to ears’ unique shapes. Key to this process is the SonoFit Custom Fitting System (see below), which is worn during this time. The SonoFit looks like large over-the-ear headphones and is made of a modular earpiece, pair of inflation pumps and medical-grade silicone compound.
Because of their great fit, sculpted eers provide an acoustic seal, so music does not compete with ambient sound. This feature subsequently allows consumers listen at a fraction of volume needed at generic headphones, about 30 percent less on average.
There are two models of eers. A pair with a single driver and enhanced bass is sold for $199.99, and a pair with premium dual driver with crossover is sold for $299.99.
