Also I have a unique perspective on this product since I work in the construction industry. I have to use hearing protection constantly and let me tell you that those foam earplugs are nothing but garbage. Not only do they come out and not feel good, but they also never seem to fit properly. They also cannot be reused. Another alternative which sells for between 15-30$ also doesnt feel good, and comes with an anoying plastic bracket that doesnt fit well and gets caught on stuff when you move your head in tight spaces. The last option is a custom fitted piece which can cost upwards of 300$ from what Ive seen. They are fairly good but require a lot of initial time to be made ( a few weeks) and are easily damaged, so they must be kept in a protective case when not in use.

The above options are either too expensive, inconvienent, or just dont feel good.

another observation I have made is that people in general in the construction industry are more than willing to spend extra money so that they do not have to use foam earplugs. The most common forms of upgrades are option #2 (15-30$ range) and account for 40% of the protection used. Option #3 the custom ear pieces are also out there, but account for a much small percentage, at 5%. This is mostly due to their cost and workers unwilling to take time off of work to go to a place to get molded and fitted. These places tend to be open during the week only.

overall, about half of the workers are willing to look for a better solution and spend the money and time. So obviously this is a real problem that needs a real solution.

The V4 headset, I believe, Solves just about all of these problems. Not only is it cheap and reuseable, but you can get a custom earpiece in under 4 minutes. You dont have to worry about them getting in the way or popping out of your ears. They are in the buying range of any worker.

in conclusion, I believe that sonomax has a much improved product than anything that is out there, and that many construction workers will be more than willing to spend their hard earned money for a superior product like this.
