Greg Noval has actiually positioned Canadian Superior Energy as an attractive takeover target for a large multinational or foreign government owned oil company to take over outright.

Think about it. For an outright buyout of SNG not only could a buyer get ownership of Canadian Superior's 45% of Block 5(C) in Trinidad but they would also gain control of SNG's Libyan/Tunisian Oasis Block. There was a great amount of competition at the time SNG was bidding on this block. The multinational oil giants are dying to get property in Libya and SNG defeated a number of them to walk away with the property. This is a great asset that everyone is overlooking when they talk about SNG only selling its 45% interest in Trinidad"s Intrepid Block. Why would a large multinational just want to buy SNG's interest in the Intrepid Block when for a few dollars more they could buy SNG entirely and get the Libyan/Tunisian lands as well in addition to 50% of the Liberty Gas project in New Jersey? There is more here for around the same price.
