Mineral processing can be a challenge but if there were large diamonds in this sample don't you think that a way would be found to release the hematite in an economic manner. I was recalling that Peregrine is planning to use a unique mineral processing technique to concentrate the kimberlite from the DO-27 pipe on their Lac de Gras property. Where there's a will, there's a way.
But first it's necessary, as AK says, to determine if there are actually diamonds of worth in the rejects. Seems to be a "Catch 22". Possibly, the drill cores will tell us what we need to know.
