Hi NorthLion,

Yes, I am very positive on Snowfield and on the Ticho project. It will not take a huge hoard of diamonds to make the Mud Lake kimberlite, or any other deposits on their property economically viable. The overhead costs of a potential mining operation would be far less compared to many other mining plays in the NWT.

I believe that Snowfield will most likely develop a better understanding of the Mud Lake sill complex and the diamond distribution within it. In this way they will able to target a representative zone for the next bulk sampling program. This will entail more drilling and core sampling over the coming weeks. According to Snowfield and other posts on the board, an initial series of cores has already been drilled.

The more I learn about kimberlites, the more I am convinced that their diamond content and distribution is not uniform and depends upon a lot of factors during the placement process.  Here is an exerpt from a report on another kimberlite in the NWT:

"Multiple pulses of kimberlite typically form a single body and each pulse has a different diamond content and emplacement history. Thus, the diamond distribution within single kimberlite bodies can be complex"

With this in mind, we cannot make an educated assessment of the Mud lake deposit based upon what we know today. Much more work needs to be done. However, as mentioned so many times before, the indications that there are macro diamonds at Mud lake is still there and has not evaporated because the initial result from the SRC was disappointing. From what I have gathered in recent weeks, in the diamond exploration busness, such false starts are frequent and seemingly uneconomical projects suddenly turn the corner and become very real mining operations. Of course, this would be our greatest wish, but it is not yet certain that this will be how the Mud Lake play will unfold. Only time will tell.

Good luck to all....peterjr
