Main Points for Newcomers to Snowfield

I posted this on the SNO Bullboard last night.

I thought that it would make a good first post on this board.

Good luck to all....peterjr

All speculative plays have risks and diamond exploration is by no means exluded. So, it is a good idea to do plenty of DD before investing your hard earned cash in a company like Snowfield.

Below are some main reasons why I decided to invest in SNO:

- The chemistry of the kimberlite indicator minerals is at least as good as the Snap Lake deposit and is probably better.

- Wherever green garnets, these kimberlites have become diamond mines.

- Core tests have proven that the kimberlite is diamond bearing

- Tests have indicated that the Mud Lake kimberlite has the capacity to carry macro-diamonds.

- The presence of a macro-diamond in the core sample is an indicator that there is the potential of commercial sized stones also being present.

- Normally the mineral concentrate from bulk sampling represents 0.75% to 1.0% of the weight of the original kimberlite sample (eg: 1000 tonnes of kimberlitic rock will yield just under 100 tonnes of mineral concentrate). The Mud Lake mineral concentrate represents 1.5% of original weight. This means that there is over 50% more minerals in the concentrate than normal. Not all of these will be diamonds as there will also be indicator minerals such as green garnets etc. This is a very positive indication.

- More kimberlite is known to be somewhere on Snowfield's property. They are homing in on a 2000m x 2000m area. The indicator minerals in the area are of the same quality as the Mud lake kimberlite.

- The Mud lake deposit is very close to yellowknife and is accessible year-round. This will greatly increase the economic viability of a prospective Mud lake mine.

- Amongst the brown diamonds found to date, many of them have a low colour intensity rating(1 to 3). This indicicates that the coloration is in the surface of the diamond and does not continue to the centre. This is why the rating has been shown on Snowfield's report (NR 06- 31) August 16, 2006. Even Brown diamonds are not created equal!

- The first nation people have a good relationship with SNO and there is unlikely to be sacred burial grounds at Mud Lake, as it is inland.

- De Beers is involved with the testing and is sharing the cost of testing the kimberlite. This is an indication of the quality of the indicator mineral chemistry. They have data on this that has been derived from extensive research over many years. If De Beers is interested, they know that SNO is sitting on something very special indeed.

- The Mud lake kimberlite body is still open in three directions. This means that the resource has a large chance of being proven-up as exploration continues.

- Relations between De Beers and SNO are excellent. This bodes well for a possible future take-over bid resulting in good upside for shareholders.

- Exploration costs and potential production costs are much lower than many other potential mines in the NWT. This means that SNO does not need to raise as much cash to continue its exploration activities
