I would be very disappointed if SNO was bought out for only one dollar per share! Surely, if the results come back looking good enough for a buyout then more than one buyer will emerge.
At this juncture, all is speculation and maybe some manipulation and the company has little solid value. The stock price reflects the value of the company, not the other way around and usually the stock price trades at a premium to the book value. Once the value of the deposit is determined, then the price should rise accordingly.
I have read often that this deposit is much like the Snap Lake deposit that DeBeers purchased from Winspear for about $5. Why would SNO management settle for anything less? They have struggled to develop the deposit to this point, why give up now and sell out for less than it's worth?
Just my humbe opinion.
