Hello Hotmuck,
I've not read in any assessment reports or scientific papers from the mines up north of them having green garnets in their kimberlites. I have heard from some people that are very familiar with the indicator mineral chemisty at the mines and they said they had green garnets.
Unfortunately I take that information with a grain of salt until I see it in a scientific paper where they publish the chemical compositions. I would say that based on some of the chemical trends that I have seen that there is a high probability that there are green garnets in some of the kimberlites in the mines up north.
It would be real nice if this info is in the public record because I believe this kind of information is very important for canadian diamond exploration.
Cheers,
Allan
