Slam Exploration J/V to begin drilling early summer. 2012 shaping up to busy for Slam in Ontario.

Now that it’s met the qualifications for listing on the TSX Venture Exchange, Zephyr Minerals Ltd. is on the hunt for opportunities.

The Halifax junior mining company says it has begun reviewing gold-oriented projects in South America.

Its parameters: “multi-million ounce potential” and “areas that have good logistical support,” as well as “countries that have a friendly tax regime and mining law.”

Zephyr expects this process to take three to six months.

“The object is to add additional projects to our exploration portfolio which can be evaluated rapidly and, if successful, add to shareholder value in a timely manner,” the company said in a news release.

Zephyr said it will begin exploration on the Keezhik Lake gold property in northern Ontario in early summer.
