Fortunately we share the same boat. Many people are even putting modest amount of money in the freezer, just in case of unlikely local bank failures! One additional point - your kids & mine owe us big time even tho' we would never take it - in a crisis they would always be there for us & that's reassuring! Most of our kids don't know what tough times really are.
