I'll try to explain. First thing, let's hope their broker is nice enough to write off the fee, since the value of the trade is less than the fee. It could have been someone back in the 90's looking to invest in an exploration company, and comes across Silverado.

162 shares X $20/share = $3,240

162 shares X $15/share = $2,430

Did they pay more or less, I don't know. It was only a reasonable explanation for a $0.23 trade. I am sure we all have had one of these investments in our accounts, that we eventually clean up.
