You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
Just my opinion but there is no reason for it not to go down, just as there is no reason for it to go up either. It will go wherever they want it to go until the co. gives them a reason to quit messing with it.
