in 2006 peter shiff spoke before a convention of 1000 mortgage brokers and explained to them in this 8-part series how and why the real estate bubble would collapse.

in the last two segments one of the brokers takes issue with him over the economy, and claims that $70 oil is an abberation and it won't last. in a way he was right; we'll never see $70 oil again.

and by now, most of those mortagage brokers are probably looking for work in some other industry.
