this is part of today's commentary from bill murphy on the cftc hearing:

Last week was some humdinger. It began with Adrian’s and my Wednesday interview with, of all people, G Gordon Liddy of Watergate note and a super guy. We told him we had a "whistleblower" bombshell GATA hoped to drop on the CFTC the next day … that we had our own "Deep Throat" but in this case we knew who he was. G Gordon said he was looking forward to our follow-up.

Then next day Adrian, Harvey Organ and I trotted over to the CFTC. Gary Gensler started the hearing out by saying something like the hearing was not about getting into specific names, etc … clearly referring to my coming testimony. Commissioner Bart Chilton’s face went bright red and he piped up asking if the hearing was to be about "censorship." Gensler quickly backed down.

After hearing from the Commissioners and legal counsel, the first panel did their thing.

Then, it was my turn on the second panel. As you may already know, the guy who spoke before me called GATA a bunch of charlatans. What a goofball. Harvey, Adrian and I couldn’t figure why he was even allowed to speak except to knock us. Then I gave my testimony, and then dropped the Andrew Maguire bombshell thanks to Bart C giving me an opening. Unreal, the next afternoon Adrian sends me the following:

GATA Whistleblower Andrew Maguire Injured in Hit and Run Car Accident

On March 25th at the CFTC Public Hearing on Precious Metals GATA made a dramatic revelation of a whistleblower source, Andrew Maguire, who has first hand evidence of gold and silver market manipulation by JPMorganChase and who has even tipped off the CFTC in advance of manipulative attacks on gold and silver. Just as in the Madoff case the regulator has done nothing to stop such manipulation.

On March 26th while out shopping with his wife, Mr. Maguire’s car was hit by a car careening out of a side road. The driver of the vehicle then tried to escape. When a pedestrian eye-witness attempted to block the driver’s escape he accelerated at him and would have hit him had the pedestrian not jumped out of the way. The car then hit two other cars in escaping. The driver was apprehended by the police after police helicopters were called in and following a high speed chase.

Andrew and his wife were hospitalized with minor injuries. They were discharged from hospital today and should make a full recovery.

It’s something like out of a James Bond movie. What are the odds that my testimony gets blotted out from live coverage and then our whistleblower and wife get hit by a car the next day? We will never know if he was a hit man because the last thing he will do is tell the police The Gold Cartel paid him to bump off Andrew before he gave GATA his taped conversation with the CFTC.
