hawnkoa, good to hear from you again. no, silver standard would not develop snowfield by itself. that asset will either be monetized or developed as a jv with a major gold company. for one thing, it is outside the company's focus on silver, so it is not considered a core asset. in addition, because it is relatively low grade, the huge capex would be more than the company's balance sheet could stand unless it stopped development of everything else. so snowfield is an example of excellent grass roots exploration, in which a few million dollars spent drilling will pay off in the sale of a large gold deposit. it will take higher gold prices, but with worldwide gold production declining, and a combined total of more than 50 million ounces in the ground (with the seabridge deposit) some major will eventually come calling. until then the company will continue to define and improve the quality of the resource.
