i have now seen a report that first quantum minerals is suing hsbc over the abcp fiasco. i couldn't confirm in from the company's web site, but the report is that first quantum is suing the bank over $11.3 million it claims the bank recommended it invest in abcp. i'm sure we will hear more about this.
