SSO on the TSX, SSRI on the NASDAQ
I agree that (in the end) it is fundamentals that drive value. (Cash flow being one of the fundamentals)
I also agree that "if SSRI management proves that they can mine silver and generate cash earnings, the stock price will stabilize."
If they do not, I am not so sure what will happen.
However, SSRI seems to be aware of this also. They did go out and hire an experienced mine manager for the key position.
Also, with the hugely favorable economics of the Pirquitas project, it is highly probable (imho, of course) that any reasonably well run organization should be able to make good money off of this mine.
Yes, there is always some risk to something like this - that is why my "risk" money is invested in SSO.
However, I am betting that they make this transition to producer relatively smoothly and reward all of us shareholders.
I believe that the stock price would stabilize well north of the $50.00 mark. This opinion is (among other things) based on the market average valuation "per ounce of silver in the ground" for "producers".
This number is way higher for producers (significantly higher than $2.00 per ounce) than for SSO or for "just explorers".
Just my opinion, but with some data and reasoning to back it.
