silvermex is a junior explorer in which sso holds an equity interest. smr went public in 2006 and its flagship property is penasco quemado in mexico. its initial goal is to define 50 million ounces of silver, and it already has a 24 million ounce resource.

sso optioned penasco quemado to smr, and thinks highly enough of the company that it is taking payment in smr shares instead of cash. sso also has the right to earn in a 51% interest in penasco quemado and become the operator of the project should it ever get that far.
