SEC is an independent agency with it's own budget because it generates revenue from fees so it's open, but because it interacts with other agencies, I'm sure things are very slow there. I used to work for the FDIC which is in a similar situation during goverment shutdowns. Patience is a virtue - yeah right? Khaki
