If we do get ore that is over 1 oz/t, we could be profitable even with the mill running inefficiently. That was shown in the 1800s, when the stamp mills were profitable. But even then, in some places they used mercury extraction (thankfully not on any of SFMI's properties) to improve efficiency. But of course it would be best if SFMI gets the leach permit, since otherwise they would end up with 100s of thousands of tons of partially extracted ore that was too valuable to throw away- much like the 30k tons they have now.
