(Edit this Message from the "Fast Facts" Section)
Before I begin, Peggy has put up a post confirming both her laziness and lack of comprehension. She obviously didn't listen to the SHM video herself, but simly repeated a lie Rocket told, that there would be 14-18 months before the first drill results. Rocket either needs to relisten to the video if he indeed got his facts wrong, or stop lying if he heard it correctly and purposely reported it wrong. For a self-proclaimed guru who never gets it wrong, he sure puts out a lot of false and misleading information...

First, the quick summary. SFMI is making progress. I think they are finally focussed and on the right track. Second, financing will be there, which should mean progress will now come more quickly. Bad news? There will be more dilution (hopefully no more than needed, and at a higher share price), and the timelines are possibly longer than we would have liked. But if drilling takes place Jan-Feb and the first results come in soon after that, there may be no need IMO to worry about subsequent timelines if the the drill results are in line with the historical data.
Everyone can watch the videos (thanks takeninagain, great work!), so I won't repeat anything covered then. Other than the actual meeting, there was the tour, dinners after both meetings, and of course the discussions that took place outside of the meetings. Since the GHDC meeting is not on video as far as I know, here is a quick summary of that. The flotation unit is being installed. That is what will reduce the 30k tons of ore to 3k tons. The 3k tons will then be put through the leach cycle when that is ready. That's where the 18-24 months comes from. That 3k tons of cyanide treated waste ore will be sent to a county hazmat site at a cost of maybe .50/ton. I think the county will actually further leach the ore and keep what they get!
They should have drill results in 6 months, maybe less. Drilling in the Sinker will begin Jan (PQ), maybe around Feb 1 (CQ). First comes permit, which sounds to be in place, then a month to finish the rockbolting, then preparation of a safety room and room for the drills, then drills. Not much else at the GHDC meeting that wasn't repeated at the SFMI meeting. There were a few pointed questions, especially about compensation, but the same types of questions were also raised at the SFMI meeting.
That's it for the official meetings.
The mill facility is much expanded since I was there last. The mill building expansion is complete, and the flotation circuit is being installed. They are already planning the leach circuit facility, which will be situated between the present mill building and the vault/smelter building. The completion of the smelter building is waiting on an inspection.
During the SFMI tour, they conducted a smelter pour of a 400 oz dore bar (as in the photo in my recent post which is also now in the photo gallery here). That sucker is heavier than it looks. It's hard to say, but I think the smelter building is being set up to accomodate even larger pours.
As far as extracurricular activities, I was able to talk to a number of the principles. Allen Simon may be known mostly for one product, but anyone who thinks that he is a one trick pony (like Rocket, the fool who makes judgments on a basis of complete ignorance) is sadly mistaken. The guy is sharp, and has a number of major projects going. Any funding he provides SFMI will be a drop in the bucket.
There are a few more details, but nothing major. Based on the general buzz, I do expect a number of PRs in the near future- financing, permits, Sinker updates, maybe even information about new personnel.
And, last but not least, it was great to see old faces and meet new ones. Thanks, guys, for making it a fun and rewarding meeting!
And just for fun, here is the dore pour!
