They can't release major news at the SHM. News of any significance has to be released to everyone at the same time, not just to attendees. Unfortunately, waiting until tomorrow morning, assuming that there will be a PR before the SHM, is just going to PO the attendees even more, because many of them will be traveling when any PR is released.
