Message: CQ isn't fully to blame.

Yes, PQ appointed CQ. But that doesn't relieve CQ of the responsibilty to run the mill competently. That failure is his alone. Of course, that failure is just one symptom of PQ's poor management.

It's always been obvious that PQ was trying to minimize expenditures, and that he was operating from a position of little experrience in the field. But he at least seemed to be learning as he went along, and correcting and not repeating mistakes. After the Melba fiasco, the Diamond Creek mill went up surprisingly quickly. And he brought in RS and others to provide needed expertise. But leaving CQ in charge for 2 years while the mill operated so inefficiently and actually cost more to run than it was producing is inexcusable. That for me was really the last straw as far as trusting this management or what they say. SFMI will succeed no matter what because of the riches of WEM. As some have said, even PQ can't screw it up. But seriously, CQ needs to go and PQ needs to turn over the reins to someone with the approriate expertise and experience to run this company correctly. And that should have been done before these meetings. I would much rather have had someone like RS attending them than PQ or RK.
